Next meeting of the After School Program Steering Committee

I am hoping it will work for a few folks to meet to talk about the After School Program next Monday at 4:45. The items I am aware of that need to be on the agenda are:

1) Lessons learned and changes to be made for next session (starting in January) especially registration.
2) A review of the current program (what classes worked what classes haven’t)
3) A financial review of the program
4) Getting into place an evaluation process which gathers feedback from students, parents and the instructors
5) Preliminary planning for next sessions classes – especially looking at areas for expansion
6) Making the AS program long term sustainable
7) Doing a better job of parent volunteer recruiting and management
8) Documentation

If this works for at least a few folks, we will meet at my house at the corner of 49th and Alaska (4557 49th). Children are welcome. I anticipate the meeting being about an hour. If you cant make it, feel free to send me thoughts, or post them for everyone on our blog

Please RSVP to me.

1. my child enjoyed her classes ~ i expected an older crowd (more 2-5) in the group. difficult class to work and set expectations of.

2. as stated above, my child enjoyed her classes. she felt the jumprope instructor was very 'strict' - i felt this meant less pathfinder-esk in teaching style. i imagine this a difficult task of the after-school committee

please keep me in the loop . . . i would like to help where i can with planning, documentation, etc.

THANK YOU ERIC FOR YOUR HARD WORK!!!!
